Again, you nailed it. That dichotomy between African immigrants and their children, and the descendants of African slaves does exist. However, there is much greater nuance here than rage and commitment. Those nuances are worth exploring, otherwise they will be used by whites to drive a permanent wedge between the international Black community. I like to see us all as brothers and sisters because our experiences and culture tend to be similar, background notwithstanding. Also remember that Obama is a politician, not an activist. There is a huge difference between the two, no matter where you're from.
